The Kymi Ring is located in Iitti, in the Kymenlaakso region, about 110 kilometers north-east of the capital Helsinki, and owes its name to the Kymijoki river that flows in the valley that houses the track. It is the first Scandinavian circuit with a first degree FIA ​​license (the highest) and officially “opened” on 19 August 2019, on the occasion of a special MotoGP test which was attended by the test-riders of all the manufacturers of the Premier Class.

The layout of the track, designed by the British Apex Circuit Design Ltd. and to be faced clockwise, measures 4.6 km and includes 2 long straights (the largest of which “opposite” to that of the starting grid), 9 right curves and 9 curves to the left, with a track that varies from 12 to 15 meters and a total height difference of almost 20 meters.
